A luxury family friendly resort in the California High Sierra, Tenaya Lodge is your gateway to Yosemite. Tenaya Lodge is located just outside the Yosemite National Park boundary gate nestled amongst 75 acres of tall tress in the Sierra National Forest.

This lodge has a variety of activities perfect for families. It offers both indoor and outdoor pools, games room, archery lessons, a climbing wall, kids adventure course, mountain biking, fishing pole rentals and horseback riding. Guided day and night hikes are available to explore and learn.

Their brand new Kids Adventure Course has six different elements that include bridges, swinging logs, and rope challenges. Each element is approximately 18 feet in length, with landing platforms between elements. The course itself is approximately five feet above the ground (perfect for the little ones who want a thrill without being too scary) and is designed to accommodate various degrees of difficulty, keeping progression in mind.

If a relaxing healthy break is needed head to the beautiful day spa for some pampering, read a book by the pool or head to the gym to exercise and energise.

Tenaya Lodge has a range of bars and restaurants offering casual bar favourites through to fine dining plus a small convenience store is available if you want to grab a snack or prepare a light meal.

Tenaya Lodges accommodation options range from lodge rooms through to large family suites and even 2 and 3 bedroom cabins in the forest.

Families could easily spend a week here, allowing two or three days to venture into Yosemite National Park and the remainder enjoying all the facilities and activities on offer at Tenaya Lodge.

Winter brings the snow and a whole new set of activities including horse sled rides, tabogganing and lots of warm fires and snow fun. The Yosemite ski and snowboard school is just one hour away.
